    Hello Agnes,

My name is Frances Skinner and I am a Social Work Masters Student at Northumbria University. I am getting in contact after reading your blog about your experience of dementia. I am exploring how Social Workers currently communicate with people with dementia. I hope to write a dissertation considering what writing about their experiences means for people with dementia and what implications this may have for social work practice. In order to do this, I would like to analyse blogs written by people with dementia. This would include directly quoting from the blogs themselves. I think your blog is great and insightful and would like to use some of your writing as part of my research.

Would you be happy for me to use and quote from your blog as part of my study? Any personal information will be anonymised. However, I must let you know that by directly quoting from your blog it will be easier for others to trace your blog via an internet search.

If you could respond before the 31st of March that would be much appreciated. If I do not hear from you before this date I shall assume you are happy for your blog to be included. However, please feel free to contact me after that date regarding any aspect of the research. If you would like to read a copy of the study when it is finished in November, please let me know. My email address is frances.skinner@northumbria.ac.uk.

    Thank you,

    Frances.
